Kreative Kakes opened its doors in January of 2001 and we have been growing ever since (as have our husbands!). During the first couple years of business, owner Becky Lamb refused to let anyone else touch her cakes, afraid that a novice decorator would potentially diminish the quality of the cakes. Eventually the cakeload became too great for Becky and her husband to manage on their own, and they were forced to seek talented, dedicated servants--er, helpers:

Becky

Becky started decorating cakes for her kids' birthdays to save money. She is extremely passionate about her work and takes pride in every cake she makes. Becky is the sweetest woman you will ever meet.

Valerie

Valerie holds down the fort full-time. Chances are when you call, you'll be speaking with this lovely lady. She has worked here for almost three years now and probably knows more about cake than the inventor of cake.

Daytron

Daytron is a talented cake artist, but her real specialty is bakery comedy. She is also Becky's favorite (but don't tell the others!).

Teri

Teri has yet to convince us that there aren't five of her. She's always testing out new decorating techniques, developing new recipes, and volunteering at her kids' schools.

Maria

Maria just graduated from Forest Park Community College where she studied culinary arts. She aspires to be a world-renowned cake artiste (with an 'e'). Because of her special talent, Maria's family and friends always expect her to provide the dessert at functions.

Claire

Claire attends University of Miami in Florida, but works at Kreative Kakes during school breaks. Though only 21 years old, she jokes that she has 33 years of cake decorating experience. But looking at her cakes, you'd believe it!
